Felipe Massa appears to be struck on the head by debris from the Brawn F1 car of Rubins Barricelo.

The Ferrari driver crashed heavily at Turn 4 after he was hit in the helmet by debris flying from the track.

I love how some media outlets report it as debris jamming the steering wheel and throttle (which knowing the cars, had me scratching my head about how it's possible). They obviously did not see the in-car footage. It hard to stop or steer when you you get knocked out. I'm glad he'll be around to race another day.

"Following a complete medical examination it emerged that he had suffered a cut on his forehead, a bone damage of his skull and a brain concussion," Ferrari said in a statement.
They say he is going to be OK but that sure is freaky!

A very lucky man...I wish him a full recovery and a return to the track soon.
Had that piece of suspension debris hit his visor, he would have almost certainly have been killed.
The fact that he was unconscious when he shunted may be prevented worse injuries. The safety restraints did their job.
