Ynet reporters Latest Update: 09.26.10

An Israeli in her ninth month of pregnancy sustained moderate injuries Sunday night when Palestinian terrorists opened fire at the vehicle she was traveling in near the Omarim Junction in the West Bank.

The incident, during which the woman's husband was lightly injured, occurred just a few hours before the settlement construction moratorium is due to expire. The couple is from the West Bank settlement of Tene Omarim, which is just outside Mount Hebron.

Thirty-five-year-old Neta Shukrun and her husband Sharon, also 35, continued driving to the Soroka Medical Center in Beersheba to seek medical attention.

Neta was reportedly taken in to the operating room for a Caesarian-section.

Shai District Police said that at around 8:30 pm terrorists opened fire at the Israeli vehicle from a passing car as it was traveling along Highway 60, near the settlement of Tene Omarim.

Police said the terrorists' vehicle fled the scene and headed south.

The shooting attack was the third such incident in which Israelis were targeted in less than a month.
