  • Yep. That's how it works here. And it's wrong. What's more, the Feds are cool with it, because the Feds use the Tennessee statutes to set up Homeland Security Checkpoints at the truck weigh stations.

  • Enjoy your police state. You voted in the people who made it happen. And I'm not talking about the executive level - yeah, it's all those "tough on crime" sheriffs and judges and governors that the conservative geezer crowd always puts in power.

    • @El Tizona

I noticed that as well. Since when do we have to prove we are not guilty before being charged with a crime. And as the cop stated, he committed no crime, so how can he be guilty of anything?

  • Thanks for the heads up because this is something people need to know. These cops are completely ignorant of the fact it is commonplace for small to mid-sized business to stick to cash-paper transactions to save money because bank transfers, credit, or getting money orders/cash bonds always cost money. Of course you don’t brag about doing this because you don’t want to get robbed, especially by a bunch of hick cops.

I think this is part of an effort to make paper transactions illegal so e More..

  • Cop said it's up to the owner of the money to prove there's no crime involved.
    Wrong!
It's up to the state to prove you are guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
    Fucking thieves!

  • Its legal extortion plain and simple. To them, we are sheep waiting to be fleeced. Just take a look at the alarming expansion of the seizure powers of modern day police.

Bottom line is that your personal property is not granted the same legal rights as a citizen. Your property (according to law) IS GUILTY until proven innocent. Now who do you think dreamed up that legal bullshit?

Anymore, at least to me anyway, they have become the very gangsters they've sworn to protect us from.

  • As a cop myself, just watching this video makes me sick. The officer generated a report without the facts and false statements. If I was his supervisor, he would be standing in front of the man.
