  • The "American" nationality didn't exist in 1731. Thomas Godfrey was an Englishman. And the video is rather dubious of several "firsts".

The nature of DNA was of course first discovered by Francis Crick. The sound barrier was broken an insurmountable number of times during the Second World War. Martin Evans cultivated the first line of stem cells in 1981. The first successful lung transplant was by Joel Cooper. A lot of the will be right, but really can't bothered with this.

You mean, fake teeth? Because dentistry isn't needed where there is nothing to fix:

Once teeth are all plastic they surely look much better...

BTW, Pierre Fauchard, a cheese-eating surrender monkey is accredited to be the father of modern dentistry:

  • Sure, Americans have come up with some good stuff. We've done some good things. We have to focus on sorting out this mess the government got us into though. We need to have the courage that our forefathers had, to risk life and limb to set this ship straight again. How you ask? I have no idea but if you have any suggestions I'm all ears.
I would love nothing more than to be a proud American........again.

    • @RoccoSantoro: Meh, the entire rotten edifice needs to come down; hopefully people will want to rebuild a constitutional Republic ruled by laws not men. No central bankers, no corporatism, no socialism.
We are to blame for buying into the culture of entitlements, materialism and progressive social engineering.

Entertainers, skanks and sodomites are placed on a pedestal and scientists, engineers, philosophers, intellectuals are marginalized and ignored. A sick society for sure.

Iceland has the idea, they staged a successful revolution, toppled their government and jailed some of the Rothschild bankers and purged the rest. You'll never see a news story on it though.

  • Nylon gets it's name from the two places it was developed New York and LONdon.

    • @chevettey Nope.

"In 1940, John W. Eckelberry of DuPont stated that the letters "nyl" were arbitrary and the "on" was copied from the suffixes of other fibers such as cotton and rayon. A later publication by DuPont explained that the name was originally intended to be "No-Run" ("run" meaning "unravel"), but was modified to avoid making such an unjustified claim and to make the word sound better.[8] An apocryphal explanation is that Nylon is More..

Must not forget Nystatin. A marvellous treatment for oral thrush.
Named after the New York State Institute, where it was developed.

  • disagree on the microprocessor... it was an italian Federico Faggin (dont start)
"The world’s first microprocessor (1971) was made possible by the advanced capabilities of the silicon gate technology, the Intel 4004 was a 4-bit CPU (central processing unit) on a single chip. The 4004 was a member of a family of 4 chips designed specifically for Busicom, a Japanese calculator manufacturer. The other members of the family (constituting the MCS-4 family) were: the 4001, a 2k-bit metal-mask More..

  • A fine list to be proud of, for sure - problem is, most of this stuff is made in China and imported to North America now so someone else is getting rich from your ingenuity.
