Ok you have a youth in a public place with what appeared to be a loaded ak47 and the police quibble over who should respond (Greater Manchester police or British Transport police) and eventually decide that they need not send an ARV as they deduced from the limited information (that a youth loaded a magazine into a gun and aimed it at somebody) that there was no IMMEDIATE risk to life.

Their response is as worrying as the fact the boy, who was subsequently arrested, is still in custody a day later which leads me to suspect it was not an imitation firearm. Further conjecture is on the tip of my tongue but given his age we'll never know so it's pointless...
