No proof they are protesting against Assad. They could very well be protesting against the Anti-Muslim film.

HA HA you are so desperate Rasengan. This video shows nothing. Why would Syrian Kurds demonstrate against the Syrian Government when they are already semi-autonomous and are engaging the Turks right this moment in combat operations?

Your assad sold Qamishlo and the kurdish regions to the kurds to save his ass. Just like his father sold the golan to israel to save his ass. We've been waiting for golan to be liberated for 40+ years now. Not a single bullet has been fired.

@Rasengan, sheikh bakri says that you should not concern yourself with mud, you will turn muddy. Why is Allah letting you terrorists die?

Now this is just pathetic. Kurds have no reason to protest against Assad, particularly at this point. They might gain independence from this conflict.

@nutterflopped I see clearly and think wisely, thank you. I will not point out the obvious lack of evidence in this video to say anything about these groups protests. But you might be wise to think next time before you post. And check the video first, don't just read description of it. Because, you know, someone might have hidden agenda who wrotes that description. Use brains son. You have them, believe me.

for everyone who likes Assad, take a good look at this...this is how it all started...everyday Syrians (no foreigners) walking in mass on the street asking for freedom and changes in the govt like a new consitution with no weapons....assad could have let them demonstrate for a few weeks then give into a few demands and that would have been it, but instead, he gave his shabiha the shoot to kill order to see if he could quickly bring them back in line...just like his father did with the Muslim bro More..

Incredibly simplistic and wrong.
In this war there are major external powers instigating and funding/supporting insurrection from day one. Saudi Arabia and Qatar are in the lead.
The original demonstrations were peaceful but I have seen videos from the very start where Police and troops supervising the demonstrators were shot at by 'snipers' at the same time as the demonstrators were shot at.
Your pretty plan of a few weeks of demonstrations followed by concessions actually happe More..
