      I hope it never comes to it, but if it does -- I also believe the American military would not fight its own people.

      However, there are several private "security" contractors (Blackwater USA) which I believe will be used instead. The only thing they care about is ammo and money bags.

      I don't quite understand the point you are trying to make with reference to Hitler.

      The original poster has fundamentally misunderstood what 'handing over sovereignty' would actually mean to the US. They've immediately thought "oh fuck! the UN is GOING TO TAKE OVER THE USA, fuck!! must keep my oath and protect against evil UN invasion force!". This is just plain nonsense.
