Bomb was estimated to be 50 Megatonne. To put into comparision, Hiroshima was only 20 Kilotonne. Americas response was that they had known how to build 50 and 100 megatonne bombs for years, however five 20 megatonne bombs are far more effective than one 100 megatonne
