This valley high in the sky used to be called, "Paradise on Earth". The longevity of its inhabitants is legendary and scientists have tried to uncover the secret.
This documentary was filmed by the British during the British Empire (Raj) which included Hunza. Before the Raj, Hunza was an independent state. Its territory covers in part the Hunza valley, where the Hunza River flows and where the landslide happened last January. (I'm taking a break from posting videos on this tragedy.)
Recent documentaries by passing tourists show that the harvest is done the same way today as it was done back then. Life, in fact, hasn't changed much. Maybe that's one of the secrets of longevity, who knows?
