At least two people were killed. Hostages were seized, including women and children, but 18 were later freed.

Taliban took innocent afghan people hostage and used civilians as "human shields"
They killed NO AMERICANS or ISAF, only afghans!
So sad, they cannot fight like real men in their war.
Taliban killed over 18 muslim afghan civilians, 2 afghan muslim police, and 2 innocent hotel workers who were muslim....

Anyone want to take bets on how many months it will after we leave before the Taliban are back in power?
If this was going to be the end result why have we been spending lives and money in that shithole all these years in the first place. We could have saved the lives of about 2000 US troops and $1/2 trillion taxpayer dollars.
The war to route the Taliban from power cost little in lives and money compared to the cost once we decided to nation building for Muslims. Come on, they're Muslims More..

Just FYI it was only the ISAF choppers doing suveillance here. No ISAF troops engaged in this fight.
But I say it will be an ongoing civil war. Afghanis are strong and have good support.

@TheEvilDead Kabul is growing and free of taliban usually... its actually a very nice location at the hotel, above 3 stars hotel from the looks of it. Kabul is actually very modern these days. They have internet and cell phone towers all over there, unlike most afghan cities.
Read the article above your comment I posted, it shows pics overlooking a lake with nice furniture. I would even visit there now, since taliban have lost almost all control of the area
