CCTV captures man going crazy with hammer in shopping centre
CCTV,Reading,England.Startled customers had to leap out of the way as a dad swung a hammer around the busy Oracle shopping centre at his ex-partner’s new boyfriend.
Modou Cham, 33, from Katesgrove, was caught on CCTV with the tool in his hand as he had a bust-up with the other man, Paul Jones, outside the Disney Store on the ground floor at around 4.30pm on July 30 last year.

More.. after Mr Jones into HMV where he started swinging the hammer around, wrecking display stands in the music store.
He had to be pulled away by security staff as he lashed out at the popular town centre store.
Cham, who claimed Mr Jones started the fight, admitted one count of affray and possessing an offensive weapon on December 16. He faced sentence on Friday.
He was told by the judge that irrespective of the background with Mr Jones, who was going out with the mother of Cham’s child, he had demonstrated outrageous behaviour.
Jonathon Sank, prosecuting, showed the court CCTV footage of the incident and pointed out the hammer could clearly be seen in Cham’s hand.
Janetta Davies, defending, said: “This is someone who under normal circumstances we would not expect to see again as he is previously of good character.
“But if he is sent to prison, it is going to have a bad effect. You can see on the CCTV that he is chasing Mr Jones so it could not be deemed to be self-defence, hence his guilty plea, but he is somewhat disappointed that he is the only defendant stood here today.”
Sentencing Cham, from Winchester Road, at Reading Crown Court, the recorder Humpfrey Malins, CBE, MP, said: “This is the kind of behaviour that makes onlookers frightened and there can be no doubt that the severity of this offence is so serious that only a custodial sentence is justified.
“The reality is that this incident is dangerous, frightening and a disgrace and you will be sentenced to custody on each offence for eight months to run concurrently.”
