  • Well something did crash in Peru. And it did make a bunch of people sick.....for about 5 hours.

Thats what happens when you breath in vaporized sulfur and stagnant water after a meteor strike.

Everyone took some Rolaids and went home.

  • Only the Chinese have experience destroying satelites with lasers(their own). If the US wanted the bird gone, dont you think they would have planned its decent into the ocean, as to avoid detection? China and Russia want the war in Iran, so oil prices will spike and russia can make more $. China will fill the void in the middle east and resume oil production. FSB should worry about the fallout from the Iran nuclear plants when the same thing that happened at Chernobyl happens at Isfahan, and half the middle east is suing Russia over faulty reactor design.

Chinese didn't kill one with lasers, ROFL!!!!, they used a kinetic, rocket-launched kill vehicle. This story is so bogus. I've already seen the meteor story.

  • This report is, I'm Afraid, complete crap!

The thing about satellites is that they ORBIT the Earth and when they enter the atmosphere they tend to do so at an OBLIQUE angle with any pieces large enough making OVULAR craters upon impact with the ground; they also tend to BREAK-UP due to atmospheric drag. For example, look at the 1979 incident where THOUSANDS OF PIECES of the US space station SkyLab were scattered over a large area of Australia, or when the Space Shuttle Columbia disintegrated over Texas during re-entry in 2003, again with debris scattered over a considerable area.

Now, the thing about meteorites is that they DO NOT ORBIT the Earth and tend instead to hit the atmosphere at a very ACUTE angle, punching through the air in a few seconds, making CIRCULAR impact craters upon contact with the ground and with HARDLY ANY scattered debris. For example, look at Meteor Crater in Arizona OR THAT EFFING CRATER IN PERU!

    Nuff said!

  • Would it not be extremely difficult to target a satelite and conduct an effective attack?.
