many call themselves Christian (probably because they were christened) and will say that they believe in the story of christ but other than that, christianity plays zero part in their life and they do not live that life via any religious teachings or laws.

You can't say anything with absolute certainty. Do you believe in elfs? fairies? a teapot orbiting mars?
The point is: where is the evidence? There is no evidence for god other than the words of people which have spoken about different gods for thousands of years. Everyone is an atheist with respect to 99.9% of gods.
Just wait for the creationist arguments of irreducible complexity, missing links and it's "Just a theory". Everyone one of these is an argument from ignorance.

Religionistas have been gaining power thru the republican party since the late 70's which culminated in the election and re-election of bush/cheney. Their power is actually waning as the true power elites of the repubs lose power and start to abandon the kooks of the religious right. This is a culture war that has been ongoing in the US long before the remnants washed up on the shores of the UK. Welcome to the New World Order where peace is war and love is hate and double-think and thought-crimes rule the day.

Tell me this, How do you not believe in G-d? Who programmed you to talk through ur mouth, see through ur eyes, think and have emotions while there are people that do not have these things (deaf, dumb & blind etc). Maybe monkeys act like humans because they were turned (cursed) into monkeys while they were human. Why do people suggest that Humans only have to come from Monkeys why can't it be the other way around? What is science. Something that is known and proven again and again. Do we as humans know everything there is outthere? ofcourse not, so why are you trying to justify something you do not know with science, when sciene in itself is limited. I dont know about your fantasies but i am 100 percent sure that i didnt evolve from no monkeys MANNNN!
