Tuesday saw a large fire in Chicago. But, the after effect is stunning. It was so damn cold, that once the fire was extinguised, the water froze to the building.

what a shame. More than likely that building will remain a shell till the city forces the owner to demolish it. With the fire and water damage the repair is probably out of the question. Those old brick buildings are neat historic relics that reflect a time when more attention was given to detail and asthetics as contrasted to energy efficiency and building costs.
