Big Mystery: Jupiter Loses a Stripe

In a development that has transformed the appearance of the solar system's largest planet, one of Jupiter's two main cloud belts has completely disappeared.

"This is a big event," says planetary scientist Glenn Orton of NASA's Jet Propulsion Lab. "We're monitoring the situation closely and do not yet fully understand what's going on."

    Seriously, every planet in the system is showing climate change in one way or another. It is only on Earth that AlGore knows best. While we mere humans may not know what the change mechanism is, more and more evidence is mounting regarding what the mechanism is not.

  • I'm all for science and discovery and all of that,but
    I wonder who out there,except the scientist themselves
    really gives a shit if jupiter loses a stripe,or turns
    polka dot overnight?Where is the pay off for the tens
    of billions we spend looking at places we will never,
    ever go, and how does it really benefit any one but
    the scientist themselves, who make careers out of
    finding new and inventive ways to piss away our tax
    money,by studying things that really make not one bit
