@Freejay Rwanda, Iran, Congo...civil wars. Syria is always threatening Israel (as is Iran). And Brazil just has an out of control crime rate.

Those who stand up for no one, who scream, "Someone (meaning the US) should do something!" - while not risking the lives of their own citizens - are naturally more peaceful.

@viennachoirboy I've never heard anyone asking the US (or anyone else for that matter) to step in. The only except is NATO, who do get asked to step in.
We in America just have a nasty habit of sticking our heads in where it doesn't belong.

@mannixxx - with respect to your comment, I actually think it's VERY naive. Unless I see how the rankings were developed, and an explanation of the extenuating circumstances behind them, I think it's rubbish.

I was a little surprised to see two Muslim countries in the top 20. That kind of blows all the hate-mongers out of the water. Still, the bottom 20 is pretty much Muslim-heavy.

@Bah_Humbug bottom 20 are muslim heavy? You want to revise that? From my reckoning it's split 50/50 with the likelihood that more than half are non-muslim.
If you had said bottom 5 then that would be an affirmative.

@CargeLock I stand corrected. I'm still trying to make some sense of the data though. What does it mean, exactly. Does it mean that Muslims aren't the bloodthirsty warmongers I like to think of them as? Or does it simply mean that just some of them, not all of them, are warmongers? And...what does it say about us? I'm just thinking here.

@Bah_Humbug
Malaysia is not in the middle east
They have far more resources.
Qatar is only a small oil rich country, that doesnt get involved in the ME turmoil.

@Freejay Resources? Now I'm confused. Are Muslim countries supposed to be violent because of their lack of resource or because they're Muslims? This is why the statistics have me confused.
