UK soldier killed in Taliban ambus in Nade-e-Ali District of Helmand Afghanistan

The 37-year-old, from St Neots, Cambs, died after his patrol was caught in an ambush in the Nad-e Ali district of Helmand.

He was killed as he lead his troops forward to assist a group of Afghan National Army soldiers who were pinned down by enemy fire.
Cpl Guy had been in the army for 19 years and served on eight operational tours including Bosnia, Iraq, three of Northern Ireland and three of Afghanistan.
He had been recently selected for promotion to the rank of Sergeant.
Along with his wife, Cpl Guy leaves his mother and father, Aileen and Andrew, and sisters Rebecca and Martha.
