The FSA (Free Syrian Army) fighters enter a Syrian Assad Army hideout/checkpoint or whatever you wish to call it.
They count aproximately 4 dead, 1 wounded and 1 captured aswell as 1 captured downstairs according to a fighter.
The SAA Soldier lying on the ground is afraid and tells them he is fasting and basically hoping they'd spare him.
The FSA fighter touches him on his shoulder and tells him that they are our brothers and they should not be afraid, that they are not the Assad army. You will all go back to your families.
The FSA fighter argues with the guy on the floor about who was their commander. And that Bashar Al Assad has not profited them in any way. He also shouts why they didnt surrender peacefully instead of dragging the battle out.

I just dont know what to make of all this anymore, so many conflicting stories. A cold war between Saudi Araba and Iran, US CIA agitators, Uk SAS involved, Assad a monster, Assad a saint depending what you read. It certainly isnt a simple case of the people versus the government though, that is all I know for certain. Who the major powers are that are fighting a proxy war are I dont know. Saudi V Iran? Gnarly scene. Looks like the fought until they were out of ammo (just assuming from the empty ammo boxes and the description saying they drew out the battle).

@SpeckFettGulag Disregarding everything else, they are combatants in uniform and should be treated as POWs according to the Geneva convention and articles of war.
Unfortunately the rebels can enjoy no such protection under the same articles I believe, since they are not in uniform and have no structure. They SHOULD be treated the same, but I just dont know...

@gnark1ll The thing to remember though is that the Geneva Convention only covers prisoners of war between nations. This is an internal insurrection so technically those rules don't apply, in the same way that all the prisoners in Guantanamo are enemy combatants not POWs because the US is not at war with anyone. This is why they can use waterboarding, sleep deprivation and other interrogation techniques on people held at Guantanamo.
