  • This was a very good vid and Danny, both Danny's or all Danny's involved. I salute you.
    This is citizen journalism.
This, I think, is what this site was meant to be.
    Everyone has a story.
    Everyone has a history.
This was a great example of a mini documentary about one life.
    We all have one life.
I thank you bud for getting out there and listening but really, I think I thank you for caring to do it at all.
    Good job and keep going.

Alcohol didn't cause this. He, like millions of mentally ill people, uses it for self-medication.

If he had access to healthcare, chances are that he wouldn't need it any longer.

  • Nice interview, Danny Jock and Superclif!

We make the world easier to digest by grouping, classifying, and stereotyping. It helps keep our brains from exploding from over-stimulation. However, we forget that behind ALL of these stereotypes we create and dismiss, is a human being. A human being who has chosen a separate path, and who has been dealt a different hand in life. A human being whose shoes we could find ourselves in somewhere down our own path.

Great share, and keep it up!

  • Oh man that delivery as 12:50 is heart breaking.

I have a friend here in Europe who has been here for years, he has a few health issues and a question he is often asked is if he will go back to the US. His reply is always "no they would let me die under a bridge".

He is getting old, he is a patriot and he has paid into the system as well but he can't give up what rights to services he has earned here and go back because what is on offer for him is shithouse.

Oh and I have a More..

Well, your reply proves my point. Racist and ignorant. You should try thinking for yourself instead of FOX news doing it for you. BTW you can't be a Communist AND a Muslim you uneducated baffoon.

  • I truly believe this guy can be recovered. Someone should come in clean him up and get back on track, he is not some homeless nut. He's just been unlucky and make some bad choices.

Thank you guys for doing this interview, I hope someone other with the resources can get Danny king off the street, he has a good voice, get him singing or make him a DJ or something. Its not too late for Danny king.

    • I remember Bill W and the basic action so many of us forget to do when we get some years clean. "TALK TO ANOTHER ALCOHOLIC "
His wife would find him talking it up with the skid row homeless and think that Bill was clean now and "why is he talking to them"
Thanks for your comment. And if your sober and can talk like this to the sick and suffering (not you 66wilson specifically) Please do. REACH OUT. It helps many people especially yourselves.

    • @Danny Jock Hey buddy. Thanks for posting this. Coming here, it's often to get a dark view of humanity. But it's good of you to show the other side and to display common human decency to bring these stories here. Thank you.

  • I wish Mr. King the best. I hope he meets the right kind soul that will shake him up and straighten him out. You can easily tell he is a compassionate, intelligent, well spoken cool ass guy. With a little push and some help I believe he can plug back into life rather than wither himself away. I feel pain in my heart seeing such a nice and gentle man down like that. Tomorrow I give my wife and kids an extra hug and have a renewed appreciation for what I have. Well done boys.

    • @xXDanksterXx Amen. In 2007, I was in Brooklyn on a curb outside a bar on a Sunday afternoon. I had been completey broken. Spiritual decay and suicidal. A high school friend of my brother Joey's saw me and stopped. He said, "What's going on?" I told him a friend of mine was killed and that I couldn't stop drinking ..."
He said "Have you thought about going to a Meeting?"
Then he took me to one a few days later.
It honestly saved my life. Big Andrew we call him. Andre More..
