    • @POLUX It was sooo irresponsible of the OP to not post a GRAPHIC warning...

This much carnage could cause ppl to have nightmares.

  • dude the luffwaffe pilot got the glide slope way off, that was pilot error, i never heard of a heavy lift on that slope. this is what happens when you dont practice on none eyeball runways, normally you get ILS, and balleye telling you how you are doing on the slope...........this was just bad, my guess is that the flat plane gave him not reference....

    • @nowhereman1 What does that mean?

    • @david2dogs ILS is instrument landing, the system is not to be confused with the runway but for what is used to land, where VLS is you your eyes with the gauges. Basically a bunch of lights at the end of the runway change colour and disappear when your off course or on course, if your to low or to high so on. military runways have them, they look like ..... on the ground with white or red or no light. also your plane picks up radio tower the tells you when you are on path from the outer marker a More..

I wondered how complex those many colorful lights on a runway were. Now after reading your post I know more about flying and runways. Thanks! Thumbs up

    • @KnowSkillz thanks, the other major causes of cargo crashes are coming in on a step dive and slammin into the ground when trying to pull up at the very end.

i dont know what he was thinking.......those 4 lines on the runway is what you want to aim for lol im glad 10 people didnt get their head cut off, i actually watched it twice to make sure lol.

glad i could teach something lol, back to my beer :P

  • Just like drivers on the road: there are good pilots, and bad ones.
I hope he doesn't ever have to fly people...

  • I agree with Polux, Fatal Landing, Horror moment, you mean co-pilots coffee overspilled the top of the cup a couple of times during the landing. If the pilot walks away then you cannot use words like fatal, or horror. I think change title to, Pilot was sending a text when he should have been landing the plane.

  • "Si dans le transall il y'avais des puutes!"
"On sauteraient tous en-en paarachute !"

  • That landing would have looked worse on a tarmac runway as it was fairly heavy. He should have just gone around. There's no harm in doing the latter instead of brute forcing it down.

  • Nearly a very very costly error a few feet back and the plane would have hit the ground before the road, hope the pilot changed his underwear and had a good giggle about this back in the officers mess while sipping a gin and tonic with 2 cuts of ice and a slice of freshly picked lemon,no mini umbrella though, that would just be gay.

  • Thats is because the density of the air changes over the blacktop. A good pilot knows this.
