....A man hitchhiking across the US and writing a memoir called The Kindness of America has been hurt in a random drive-by shooting.
Ray Dolin was sitting by rural US Highway 2 in Montana waiting for a ride on Saturday evening when a man drove up, rolled down his window, shot him in the arm and drove off, Valley County Sheriff Glen Meier said.
Dolin had approached the truck thinking the driver was offering him a ride, the sheriff said.
He flagged down a passer-by and was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The suspected shooter, 52-year-old Charles Lloyd Danielson, was arrested about four hours later.
Authorities said he was under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
Meier said there appears to be no connection between Dolin and Danielson.
He did not know if the two exchanged any words before the shooting.
"He was sitting down to have a little lunch, and this guy drives up. He thought he was going to give him a ride, and as he approached the vehicle, the guy pulls out his weapon and shoots him. It's as simple as that," Meier said.
Meier says Danielson was jailed on suspicion of felony assault with a weapon and driving under the influence.

@NakedPray I think most people in America are good, but I've been around enough to know that there are some real top-of-the-line jerkoff ASSHOLES in America. Whether they have huge insecurities, egos, superiority complexes or whatever the assholes Ive interacted with that were from the US were some of the most scumbag and low-life people i've ever encountered and frankly it was amazing they weren't already criminals with their mindsets.

I'm always amazed at foreigners putting in their 2 cents worth about guns in America, as if anything they say is going to change anything. The only reason they do it is because they want to put us down and feel better about themselves. If they really wanted to make a difference, they would come to the inner cities of America and preach their anti-gun stance to those who truly need to hear it.
