December 1979 or January 1980. IINK lists this appearance before Make Me Laugh, but he still has long hair in MML. Yeah, the consistently high Zappa scores are hilarious. Love his delivery.

He did a lot of stupid shows to promote Sheik Yerbouti and Joe's Garage. At the time, he really needed the moolah. But he never conformed. Look how he dances his own music, instead of joining the monkeys.

I think I might have actually seen that show live, LOL. I didnt get him back then. I barely get him now, but I'm developing an appreciation for this guy who pissed on American society. Good for him.
