Stephen Ortego rose to question Lorusso about why Louisiana would want to attract veterans to the State. Lurusso answered that “veterans make good citizens”. Ortego responded that “usually veterans come with a lot of their own issues”. When pressed on which issues those were, Ortego says “homeless rates, mental illness rates…especially when they’re coming out of a war…”
