Today on Beck's show, he was discussing the unrest and panic in Europe over economic issues, as well as troubles that are headed for our own shores (if not here already).
Folks, we are broke and we don't have any more money. We need to start living within our means, not just in government, but also in our own lives. Now, I know a lot of you are going to slam Beck for asking people to believe in him and believe in God, but I want you to pay attention to the rest of the clip - Glenn is only repeating words of others commenting on the state of the global economic woes we all face.
You cannot tell me that Glenn's the crazy one any more. Well, yeah you can, but if you're really sincere, just watch it with objective eyes. Don't pay attention to Glenn; pay attention to the words of those he quotes, as well as the numbers that are discussed regarding how much countries and economies owe themselves and each other. Unfortunately this Australian comedy duo nails it on the head, but it's not comedy - it's stark reality.
And for those of you who say Glenn IS crazy on the issue of politicians and labor unions playing us against each other, please take a step back and think about what has been going on around us lately.
My eyes are open and have been opening for a while, and it's not entirely from what Beck has said or done. What Beck talked about today regarding the unions playing us against each other is so true.
Just this morning, Randi Weingarten, head of the American Federation of Teachers was on Varney & Company, and Varney was trying to grill her about how teachers' pensions are crippling and WILL cripple this economy for decades to come. Listening to her talk, Weingarten was using a very soothing voice, almost as if she were trying to soothe a cranky baby, but she kept parroting the same line over and over at the end of each "answer" she gave (paraphrasing): "at the end of the day...don't you want a quality education for the children?" or "at the end of the day, we are trying to avoid losing another generation of kids like we did after the Great Depression."
It was all about THE CHILDREN, as she put it, and I felt she was mesmerizing Varney in her sing-songey voice. It's all about the children, you see...the children, the cops, the firefighters, and it goes on and on and on. I understand completely and fully how they are doing this to us.
Please make a conscious effort yourself in the future... when you hear someone defending the position of the labor unions, pay close attention to see if they try to put you on the defensive about being "against" the cops, teachers, kids, firefighters, etc. If you do, then you can use that as a defense of your stance - point out to them what they're doing and let them know you're not going to fall for it.
We must all prepare ourselves, our family and our friends, because in the end, it is only ourselves that really have our own best interests at heart. I no longer feel the need to justify my love for cops, teachers or firefighters, because I know why the argument is being made. I simply realize the politicians and labor unions are using me to win a fight for my money. Well, I don't have any more money, and they don't have my permission to use my money to pay for someone else's retirement. I'm sorry, they just don't. And I don't appreciate being used as a pawn in this stupid thieving charade.
I remain not racist, not violent, just no longer silent.
