Initial reports say gunman was wearing a gas mask and possibly body armor.

An overnight shooting at a movie theatre in Aurora, Colo., has left 14
people dead and at least 50 people were injured, according to
authorities.

Aurora police confirm they have a male suspect in custody and they have recovered a gun at the scene.

People were gathered at the theatre to watch the premiere of "The Dark Knight Rises."

Police say there was an explosive device inside the theater, but they
are not sure if that was already in place or whether it was thrown into
the crowd.
