Liveleak.com - Redefining the Media

Information on the Biggles situation

As promised here's my second vid. In this one I talk about the idea of a legal fund as requested by many members and about some other issues that have come up on the site.

If a legal fund IS required it is worth noting that if even only a small percentage of our 1.8 million members donate then the state will have a formidable challenge.

  • I understand the total absurdity of the Biggles case and I also recognise the Australia need to find this man not guilty.

I watched the video above and I understand that a member/s have are under the belief that there must be something more to this I guess they see the absurdity and can not believe there is no more to it than that .. I understand all of this.

What I am uncomfortable with is the notion that Liveleak would ban someone for their opinions.

Can someone clue me in here .. I must be missing some part of the discussion.

  • no lower court judge is going to even hear this case, let alone deliver judgement in favour of Task Force Argos, and therefore enable this case to reach a higher court of appeal.

    the charges are ridiculous.

    don't worry.

I hope you are so right, but this is Queensland, and many people before Biggles have been charged and punished for lesser. Biggles may end up in a higher court, if it does go higher, then there is big $$$$ involved. I am hoping that the Magistrates Court, in which will be the court this case is first heard in will see it with logic as the rest of us do, and toss it out. The argument will be that he did break Queensland law, and he has amitted to uploading that vid. Tough times for any of us with access to the internet.

  • H this is what rocks about this place. You are a standup guy. Way to standup for biggles. I ain't rich but I'm with John D Infidel I would be happy to donate if and when biggles determines he could use the additional help. All the best to both of you.

  • biggles deserves a very visible public apology and compensation for all the very real damage done to his life. the child abuse law must be very poorly written to be so subjective.

  • ok... they have...try article 19... it seems tailor made for this situation:

    Article 19
Everyone has the right to freedom of opinion and expression; this right includes freedom to hold opinions without interference and to seek, receive and impart information and ideas through any media and regardless of frontiers.

    stuff it up 'em biggles.

It wouldn't override local federal law anyway. And it would be the situation where, you're free to do whatever you want as long as it's not in contravention with other laws.
