Kabul (BNA) Police had killed 10 armed militants during series of
cleanup operations across the country the other day. According to a
statement of the interior ministry, these operations backed by the
national army the coalition forces, were carried out in Kandahar,
Helmand and Paktia provinces as a result 10 armed militants were killed
and 14 others captured. A number of arms and ammunitions were also
seized during the operations, the statement further said. Meantime,
police also arrested two terrorists from Burka district of Baghlan
province and also five anti-vehicle mines had been discovered from
Takhar, Laghman and Helmand provinces the other day and were defused by
police.
