The Death of America - The Death of Free Speech

Terry Jones

In America our first amendment right is freedom of speech, a right protected so we can speak offensive words against our government and against things that are destructive and with the right we are protected to hurl enormous offenses, offense for that matter that are funded with tax dollars.
For example the “Piss Christ”, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Piss_Christ, which depicts a plastic crucifix submersed in a glass of the artists urine. This and others were on display and not one person died as a result.
Another example is the burning of the American flag by American.
Another example is the Westboro Baptist Church, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Westboro_Baptist_Church, where by the Supreme Court defended freedom of speech in an 8–1 decision, the Supreme Court ruled in favor of Phelps on March 2, 2011. Chief Justice John Roberts wrote the majority opinion stating: "What Westboro said, in the whole context of how and where it chose to say it, is entitled to 'special protection' under the First Amendment and that protection cannot be overcome by a jury finding that the picketing was outrageous."
Majority of Americans all find this offensive, however, Freedom of Speech is rightfully protected, and with peace, and civility, we rightfully object, yet protect offensive speech.

EVERYWHERE BUT IN DEARBORN, MICHIGAN – where not only is freedom of speech rejected, your thoughts are monitored and rejected as well, because of fear, because of corruption, because of tyranny.
Say what you will about Terry Jones, but let the truth be told the death of America was witnessed with four women and two men in a jury condemned a man for what he might do, not what he did. Terry Jones did burn his copy of the Koran, which sparked violence by lunatic Muslims around the world and within America, which by their own evil murdered Christians and innocent bystanders. And with that fear of a violent people, America willfully in fear coward and retreated, and died by throwing Terry Jones in jail not for what he did, but what he might do, see: http://hotair.com/archives/2011/04/22/detroit-jury-finds-terry-jones-guilty-of-breach-of-peace-for-attempted-protest-outside-islamic-center/.
Terry Jones rightfully refused to pay the $1.00 “Peace Bond” and was carted off to jail. What was his crime? There was no crime. He simply lawfully petitioned for the right to protest. The result of that petition was jail.
America – despite what your opinion is about Terry Jones, there is no denying that a dark, dark day fell on America when the jail door was slammed on him.
Are we Americans going to change the way we live and allow the violence of a people near of abroad dictate our lives? Is this what we died for in world wars, and since 9/11? If we cannot burn our own possession, nor speak out in fear of violent retribution by a religious group or our own government – then are we not slaves? Where then is our freedom?
Wake up America – are we not dead? Are we still the home of the brave, the free?
