(yet another) Tie Replacement Machine
I never cease to be amazed at the number of different types of railway tie/sleeper removal and replacement machines. Here's an unusual machine for doing such a job. There's an unusual overhead unit which probably sounds very loud to the operatives in the moving cabins beneath. The whole unit seems to bend and flex with the torque set-up - an amazing machine to watch if you have RE syndrome (rail enthusiast)

That is an awesome setup! If all of those cars are full of ties, that thing probably lays railroad ties all the way across the continent. I want that job, but the downside is every morning you and the other 2 dudes have to figure out who's going be a "top" and who's the "bottom"!

@slamminsammy I didn't see anything in the video showing it driving spikes......gotta be on there somewhere though, or maybe a follow-up machine comes along afterwards.....good question though!

@BIGLOUBRUNO thanks BigLou, me too. I more or less grew up on them - the police brought me home to a good hiding on many occasion! I've never seen such a unit as this monster though.

@FreeMind1 In Russia this job is done by a couple of women with sledgehammers. Their husbands tried to replace them once, but were brutally spanked.
