Belfast:Northern ireland Tour buses destroyed by Loyalist vandals

Yet again loyalist vandals have tryed to ruin the tourism of belfast the city on sunday 28 march 2010:The Vandals have caused more than £9,000 worth of damage at a bus depot in Newtownabbey.Four Belfast City sightseeing tour vehicles were extensively damaged in the attack on Sunday night.A sledge hammer was used to smash a hole in the concrete wall at the Longland site.Bricks and a fire extinguisher were used to smash 13 windows; the fire extinguisher was also sprayed into the electrics of the four buses.It is understood the buses were part of a £500,000 investment in a new company Duck Tours Limited.George Grimley runs the venture, he said "We inspected the yard and gained entry with the police. We discovered four buses were vandalised ... between the four buses 13 windows were smashed""We can't trade obviously until we get these vehicles repaired. So I imagine will be set back in regards to trading for a few days."Director of Belfast City Sight Seeing tours Robert Wilson said; "All we could see was devastation, want and destruction. We saw that it was deliberate; we saw that it was planned. That was easy to see and the police were here and they explained that to us. I was then sickened when my staff turned up for work and I had to send them home".No tour buses are running in Belfast on Monday because of the attack. An investigation into the attack is underway.
