China's economic growth is one of the most striking global stories of the last decade but many Chinese earn a living in ways that some would find uncomfortable.

On the banks of the Yellow River, at least one boatman collects human bodies from the water and sells them to the families of the dead.

He says he does it to give the dead some dignity and because he lost his own child in the waters of the river.
