damn that's sad. you'd think in a communist society that you wouldn't see a homeless person eating out of a garbage bin. isn't that the point of communism? to make sure everyone lives at a sustainable level without going too far up or down the ladder? seems as if communism has failed and rightly so.

Communism died in China when Mao died many years ago, but I've never heard of people dying of hunger since then. It was in Mao's days that people starved to death.

He's not stealing so leave him alone. I've had to eat out of trash cans myself for a while. Amazing what people throw out! Half-eaten portions of chinese or pizza, bottles of soda with still plenty of drink left in, bags of munchies with 1/4th left, if you have to swallow your pride for an appetizer, then why let all this go to the landfill to feed the seagulls?

@themanpanda Aprox. 50% of the food produced in the USA is thrown away meanwhile people go hungry. People find furniture and appliances in good condition in the trash. The culture of accelerated consumption and throw-away is the reason of so much imbalance in society. What you call trash someone else calls it a great find, it all depends on your state of mind.
