DNC Chair Vs. Anderson Cooper Over False Claims

Debbie Wasserman Schultz and CNN’s Anderson Cooper engaged in a heated exchange Thursday night when Cooper charged that the Florida congresswoman “misquoted” the Los Angeles Times in a letter that the anchor also said misrepresented Mitt Romney’s stance on the Republican Party’s abortion platform plank.

  • W-S is so full of shit her eyes are brown! If she had an enema she'd disappear. Typical, far left and far right politicians are all the same; lying, venal douchebags who put partisanship before country.

I blame the simpletons who keep re-electing her.

As to being disingenuous, well that's something she actually IS an expert on.

  • I like how saving babies is an "extreme position"

Democrats truly are the party of Death and Taxes

Denying people their God given freedom is extreme. If you and your girl don't want to have an abortion that's good for you, but for you to be able to tell ME that me and my girl can't have one because of whatever reason you have is not cool. That is the difference

    • @Blklight we don't have a "God given freedom" to slaughter babies, democrat. The God given freedom we have is LIFE, Liberty and the pursuit of happiness

That's your opinion Christian. Not everyone living here is a Christian fundamentalist, and not everyone believes in your idea of "God given rights". Soon as you can start wrapping your head around that fact you will understand what we are saying. And I am not a democrat, just a free thinking AMERICAN

LMFAO! Funny how ultra "partriots" like you are all about limiting freedom for those you disagree with.

One minute it's "too much government interference," then it's "the government must infringe this and interfere."

Thank you for so eloquently proving what hypocrites you and those like you are. You need to move to Saudi Arabia or Pakistan, you'd fit right in those societies.

    • @Blklight it's not an opinion dumbass, it's part of The Declaration of Independence which enshrines three basic rights: the rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. The right to life is the only fundamental right, from which all other rights are derived.

  • Cooper is a decidedly Left-leaning journalist. So it's especially significant that he'd take this position. It suggests he has some genuine professional standards for which he can be commended.

Personally, though I think it unlikely, I hope Wasserman-Schultz remains in her present position for a long time to come. It's in everyone's interest to keep a noisy and unmistakable example of the hypocrisy of the Democrat Party front-and-center.

  • They should just allow all forms of contraception to be available to the public and most abortions would cease to happen because most people use abortions as a form of birth control and not in cases of rape or incest etc. Sure venereal diseases would skyrocket but instead of being a stupid asshole go get yourself checked or throw on a condom and have your partner get checked.

  • The DNC would do just as well to have a robot or a tape recorder in place of Wasserman. All she does is repeat the same line over and over again. Confronted with the fact that her statement is patently false, she stares blankly for a minute, and then starts with the same line once more.

  • Nobody is doubting your ability and right to send out e-mails you dumb ho. You misquoted a legitimate news source specifically to back up your illegitimate claims and moronic point of view.

  • The truth and facts mean absolutely nothing to her. Good for Anderson Cooper for actually having the guts to call out a Democrat when they are not telling the truth. Not many in the liberal press have the guts to do the right thing - simply because it is the right thing.

  • Both are right. Anderson by telling her that she misrepresented the New York Times and Debbie for saying that Romney is saying it, but still goes with the Republican Party on women rights on abortion.
