    • @Zeb At the end of the war it was determined that the Canadians were used a lot by the English/American high commands as ememy detectors. "Let's just see how strong old Jerry is on this beach or town... Send in the Canucks! Oooops, sorry guys." We were one of the UK's colonial armies then but at least we are our own now.

  • It's funny that everytime there is a war somewhere in the world we all believe that what the enemy watches is just propaganda, and maybe it is. But know this... we are fed the same type of BS here and we buy it! What propaganda have we been served and took it as truth? Powell at the UN talking about WMD's in Iraq is just one example.

    • @kafr I saw some mistakes at the start with translating "besonderes jager" as 400 fighters and also the part dealing with the parading prisoners, wich part you think is wrong ?

      see my other post on top. and yes, the funny thing is the narrator doesnt speak about "400" fighters but just talks about especially strong fighter contingents (dunno the correct word for it, sorry)

    • @OTT My grandfather was german (died in 2010) arrived in 1938. I dont speak or read it fluently because I dont practice much, in my house we use more the italian and spanish..
