Bill O'Reilly ran a hit piece on a boy named Shawn Hornbeck who was kidnapped by a child molester and forced to live in captivity. After Shawn's rescue made news, for some sick reason, Bill O'Reilly decided to attack the child instead of the man who kidnapped and abused him. He questioned Shawn's character and suggested he enjoyed living with the child molester who was holding him captive.

Shawn's abuser is currently rotting in prison after pleading guilty to charges of kidnapping, attempted murder, torture, and sex abuse.

In short, Shawn Hornbeck endured every parent's worst nightmare, but fortunately came out alive. However, instead of having sympathy for Shawn, Bill O'Reilly attacked and villified him in front of millions of viewers. (via Crooks and Liars)
