Skydiver falls to death on Qld beach
A skydiver has plunged to his death after a jump went wrong on Queensland's Sunshine Coast.
The
man, believed to be in his 30s, was pronounced dead after emergency
crews arrived at Kings Beach, Caloundra about 11.20am (AEST) on
Saturday, a police spokesman told AAP.Authorities were not sure how the accident happened, he said.
While
police will prepare a report for the coroner, the matter will also be
investigated by Workplace Health and Safety officers.Source:

If you know you're crashing , the procedure is right ankle over left , left hand on right shoulder , right hand on left hip .
It doesn't save you , but if they notch the top of your skull they can unscrew you in a jiff .

@dirtbiker201 "he attempted a wild last minute manuever"... known to skydivers as "swooping". Google "swooping" and you'll get an idea of the speeds involved. He obviously made his final turn too low to pull out of the dive.
