CCTV Footage Near misses caught on film as rail campaign launched 2012
new campaign has been launched to highlight the dangers of walking across railway tracks, which claims about 50 lives a year in the UK.
CCTV footage has been released which shows several cases of people having a dangerous brush with oncoming trains.

i walked many many miles on rail tracks as a kid.
Trains were slower and noisier back then.
And, there were no iPods..
safety was not really an issue.

@wharris Same here man....Would walk for miles and miles on the tracks....Never had an issue....but then again I think we (as children) were more intelligent and paid more attention to our surroundings back then....
