Fragments of at least one meteorite fell in the Chelyabinsk region some
930 miles east of Moscow, causing flashes in the morning sky and sharp
explosions, Russian officials said Friday. The office of the governor of the region in the Ural Mountains said in astatement that many calls about injuries and damage to buildings had
been received. But there were no immediate confirmed figures or
specific reports on damage.Reports conflicted on the event: A
spokeswoman for Russia's Emergency Ministry, Irina Rossius, told The Associated Press that there was a meteor shower, but another ministry spokeswoman, Elena Smirnikh, was quoted by the Interfax news agency as saying it was a single meteorite. The ministry said some fragments fell near the town of Satka, about 120 miles from the regional capital city of Chelyabinsk.

@Faawad Wrong. There are many Gods. They are all made up by people, thousands of years ago, who were really high on hallucinogens or were delirious from the desert heat and lack of food and water.
Today's history lesson brought to you by: A couple of dabs of hash oil!

Why couldn't this happen on 21 December 2012? That would've been one hell of a surprise for sure.

Well at least we now know where the Zombie apocalypse will start. It begins in Chelyabinsk after a meteor carrying an unknown space microbe that turns the living into the living dead. But the sonic booms were really cool, plus they stimulate the economy by giving window workers a job to do.

I understand what your saying with the parable, but I meant it sarcastically, which is a fault of text comments. It is difficult to show the true tone being spoken and thereby the actual meaning. We have become accustomed to text written with emotion, the problem being text writing is meant to be formal at all times unless otherwise dictated. I fail, like many others to dictate my true meaning many times. For that I apologize.

@cadillaccuz lol it wasn't meant to be a serious reply,I just recently read that and thought it was a weird coincidence. I think we are being too civil, we should throw some curses at each other next time!
