On Tuesday 27th October in a Colombus, Ohio courtroom, Magistrate Mary Goodrich agreed to the request of the Franklin county children's service to supervise Rifqa's use of the telephone and internet.

The reason? Read what Jim Zorn, children's services attorney said :

“ What we want to restrict is the other people, the other organisations, the other forces, that have interjected themselves into this case inappropriately, and has caused the additional problems that we've seen.”
Rifqa's father has denied the claim that he threatened to kill his daughter and the Florida Law Enforcement investigation found no credible threats to the girl. “ The parents support the restrictions as they were concerned about her interacting with adults over the internet.”
