He's not trying to drift, he's just trying to get a mustang to go around a corner on a wet road.
Mustangs, stock mustangs don't turn, they are designed to go in straight line and nothing else. The car is too heavy and has a live rear axal, that makes use of a weak as shit paper lockup clutch in the rear gear.
The perfect mix for a disaster.
