The end is near....
In ancient times, this probably would have initiated ritual killings.. human sacrifice in order to please the gods... the fresh blood of 3 virgins ..
@AnotherVoice and midget tears.
This took place in Canada/ Xefedoland
weather is awesome!
Reminds me of a Pink Floyd album title...
Nice to meet you Arcus.
I am Ronnie, Ronnie the Limo Driver.
that's a great time to go shopping
Vertical development caused by a rapidly approaching cold front. Very neat!
Lucky bastards, i'd love to photograph or do a time lapse. All we get is pissy rain from overcast skies.
Here's one I was under:
Amazing, do you get them often?
About once a year like that. They happen really early in the morning-6am-7am so I'm either in bed or in my car so filming them is tough.Once you see it at a distance,it's all over within 12 minutes or so. Shelf clouds like this one here are seen a couple times a years. Many are rain wrapped and hard to see. In the spring,if a storm is rolling in from the north (rare),that cold air meets up with warm Gulf air creating a really scary looking cloud event.They are black and green shelf clo More..uds.I moved here 7 years ago from weatherless California and the first time I saw one it's really hard to convince yourself the world is not ending,lol.Spring will be here in a week or two here in the Gulf States.I should be able to catch some really good storm clouds. Less..
looks like a moving mountain or glacier!
Massive Supercell ..FTW
Mommy, God is coming to take away Bed Bath & Beyond. What are we going to do?
Scary looking from the front. The real trouble looms in the back edge
"THE END IS NEAR" - Says people from the north east
"Oh look, its spring!" - Says people from the midwest
OMG, it's a cold front....RUN for your lives!!!!!!
That's some ominous looking shit.
I've only seen pics and videos, but I'd love to see one of those rolling in in person.
Come to Florida. I stood under one a couple years ago. Like a scene from a SciFi flick. Totally calm,sunshine and then...darkness, heavy 30 mph cold winds that sent a chill up my spine,interrupted only by flashes of lightning.
That'd be awesome. I live in the DC area and we had something called a derecho (I'm a weather nerd and never heard of that one) roll thru this past summer. It hit at 10 pm, so you couldn't see the storm coming in, but it was one hell of a light and wind show. Love me a good storm!
@medainbramaged i seen one as well it was really something man hard a extremely dark shade and thunder claps against the sunny blue sky.
I've seen this before, these are common in front of progressing cold fronts due to convection.This is a completely normal event.
And what exactly tells you, that the same thing is happening in the video?
Just because you think you may have seen the same thin yourself, doesn't always mean that ist is the same thing.
Doesn't change the fact, that this world is facing a serious climate change!
I guess the climate will be really fucked up 10 years from now...
@Canada28 yup, seen this to in me country couple of times.
@Sophisticatedchaos These are completely normal events and pose no mystery to science or point to impending doom. Here you go
You can take off the tinfoil hat, rising sea levels worry me much more than this.
@Sophisticatedchaos Your a douche.
@Sophisticatedchaos stfu man, your bullshit is older than youtube. Everyone knows climate change is codswallop.
