      Yeah, my conspiracy tendencies were screaming that the whole gulf spill was a put-up job. Too convenient, too photogenic, and where in the hell did the oil go? I have no proof. I have no evidence outside my own two ears. I do, however, have a healthy sense of this administration's intentions and motivations. It is well within their mindset to pull such a job.   • Blame Obama for high gas prices? So, why are gas prices here high or is that Obama as well? Why are gas prices in the UK high or is that also Obama? Look up the number of rigs active in the US, its about 2000 and there are only 3000 rigs active in the whole world.

      Your/our oil is high primarily because of increased demand from the BRICs (developing nations). That being said, consider that;

      The value of the US dollar does in fact effect the price of your oil. Oil is traded in USD and therefore if the USD is devalued through loose monetary policy, it will effect prices all over the world including Australia!

      Also Obama has the ability to authorize MUCH more supply into the world market but he chooses to withhold leases on federal lands. Thi More..
