Critical Mass goes to Georgetown on 104 degree day

The 29th of June was the hottest day of 2012 to date, with a recorded
temperature of 104 degrees f at the airport. This after the warmest
Spring ever recorded in DC.

The Critical Mass bicycle ride took to the streets anyway, a reminder
that without suburban sprawl, the resulting car dependancy, and without
all that coal burning, maybe it wouldn’t be so hot in the first place

A few hours after the end of the ride, violent storm driven by the day's heat rolled through, generating hurricane-force winds and leaving behind tree and power line damage that may take a week to fix, along with road and even grocery store closings(that's another video, coming soon...)
