Social Security and Medicare are not entitlements , they are contracts that the Government has with the people!

I believe you're confusing "handouts", ie welfare, with "entitlements". Those who have paid taxes and paid into social security and medicare have a right to access those benefits. They are entitled to receive them.

We may never see any benefits when we go over the financial waterfall.

Your right , in my haste , I may have misquoted , but I will say that this administration is looking for any excuse to renig on those programs. They don't have the money.
They figure that they can bamboozle the next generation into thinking that it is a privilege and not a promise.
And I have been paying in to those programs for over 35 yrs. I don't expect to see a dime , and if I do , it wont buy me diddly squat.

entitlements are NOT the problem with the national debt or the economy, this is not where cuts need to be made, wake up america, stop giving it to people that haven't paid for it,and stop the medical industry from making charges they don't deserve, stop paying a farmer to not grow a crop(stupid),what you never hear these politicians arguing about cutting are their paychecks, their earmarks, their pork-barrel spending,or how about the bank and car company bail outs?or sending billions of dollars to for More..
