Thought Provoking Repost by Anonymous
Yes, I know it's a report, but it's worth while. If this doesn't move you, regardless of your political affiliation or your hate for each other, than you're made of stone. For those who haven't seen this, if you can tell me who the speaker is, WITHOUT GOOGLE, you cheeky little fuckers, I'll buy you a beer ;)

Ah, I know this one .... but I will not spoil it for others. Famous, funny, and played a German character in a B&W movie. Once entered a competition and was told he did not look like himself (big clue there).

Yep, who would have guest that so many LLers have seen it? When I first heard it, I thought for sure it had to be someone in power during WW2. Never knew that Charlie Chaplin was such a great actor. Everyone always remembers his goofy personality with the cane and Hitler-stache. He's the only other person in history who pulled it off. It's been retired like a sports jersey haha

great speech, but huge music overlay to exaggerate dramatic effect drowns out the speech

Yeah, the music gets a little too loud in some parts, but for me, the music makes it more powerful. I've heard it both in the movie and with the music. It gives it a little more emotion. That's just my opinion though.

The words sound a bit like the speech from 1984 - but it has been half my life since I read that book, so I'm not sure.
Anybody else know more about this "speech"?
