"...Police say Williams was a former neighbor of the victim who may have done work inside her home..."
Indianapolis - Metro Police confirm that they've made an arrest in the homicide of a Lawrence Township school teacher. Detectives say their suspect is the woman's former neighbor.
Sandy Bartenbach, 58, was found dead in her home on Pine Tree Boulevard in September 2009. Police arrested Robert Williams, 41, in connection with her death.
Williams was already serving time for a parole violation. He is being held at the Miami Correctional Facility in Bunker Hill, Indiana.
Police say Williams was a former neighbor of the victim who may have done work inside her home. He was linked to the crime by DNA evidence. The charges contained in the warrant are for murder and robbery.
Bartenbach, an active member in her church, lived alone in the house with her dog. She was a ten-year veteran teacher at Crestview Elementary School.
