@KingVolcano
you realize of course, that the "citizen" followed the "bad guy" and kept following him.
Eventually following him down an alley and cornering him.
sounds very Zimmermanish to me.

@KingVolcano
a little of both to be honest.
But the similarities are there.
Its but by random chance that there was no confrontation at the end.

@wharris - Seems like this guy did not know he was being followed until he looked up after examining the vehicle.

@KingVolcano
- He knew! That's why he had been driving rather recklessly. He was just playing innocent, like a lot of people do when they get caught.

what is the major difference between what this guy did, and what Zimmerman did?
Both were citizens.
Both were following what they thought was a bad guy.
Both followed close enough to prompt a confrontation.
Neither were cops.
Except in this case, the other guy ran away.

Son of a bitch got away! They don't seem to yield for marked police cars with their lights on there, do they?
At least they got his plate and picture, as well as the whole accident and escape. He's fucked.

@grunt He never got away, the guy following only wanted to collect evidence. He did, as you say he's f'd.

Nicely done. You got the asshole.
I chased a hit and run with a mate once (he was driving), the cops saw us speed by and started chasing us. The guy we were chasing was drunk and left the road drove up an embankment and crashed into a restaurant.
I jumped out and ran up the mbankment and the cop started pursuing me and I yelled at him "hit & run" and pointed at the other guy. Fortunately the cop was smart enough to listen and arrested the other guy.
We left the scene because my More..
