Truck Flies off Highway, Driver Dies (raw chopper view of aftermath
12/13 DAVIE Florida, A truck literally flew off the eastbound lanes of 595 in Davie Thursday night, killing its driver and causing it to land on its roof below on the eastbound lanes of State Rd. 84.
The flatbed truck was smashed to pieces and the driver's body could be seen covered in a yellow tarp off the road.
Florida Highway Patrol is out on the scene investigating how this happened. Department of Transportation officials are also out on the scene, because the truck took off a chunk of the road with it before landing upside down.
All eastbound lanes of State Road 84 and 595 have been shut down as crews clean up the mess.

All the barriers at least down here in south florida look too me too thin and too low. People are always flying (especially ppl on motorcycles) over them into canals and streets below. Those barriers don't stand a chance with a fully loaded truck smacking into them

The house I grew up in is less than 2 miles from that spot. We used to go knee-boarding up and down that canal that runs parallel to 84.
