an old crash but a hard one, this finished the Irish mans racing career because of the damage too his legs and feet.a drivers worst nightmare, stuck throttle and no front wheels...

oouch ..... his legs stuck out all the way down the track and into the tire wall. I thought the mono cockpit should prevent it ?

F1 would be better by quite a few factors, IMO.

They should really have some sort of device that kills the fuel pumps and ignition when a crash is detected. It could probably be the exact same sort of switch that is used to actuate airbags in road cars.
