Horrific yes, but if the wounding is limited to the area from the eyes through the sinus cavity to the chin. All that stuff is non-essential, and blood flow to those areas is minimal relatively. If it was a suicide gone bad, -you still gotta save the guy. I almost never watch the gruesome stuff, this wasn't all that bad for some reason, the Dr's sure seemed calm and collected -hats off to them bad bitches.

I would say INTERRUPTED successful suicide attempt.
Had the pesky doctors not interfered, he would certainly be dead.
Now he has more motivation than ever to kill himself, since his (unwanted) $350,000 surgery that he'll have to pay back!!!
